Goodridge Corners is one of Edmonton’s newest communities, located in the city’s northwest just north of Anthony Henday Drive, near St. Albert and Sturgeon County.
The community is being built on city-owned land and is planned to eventually be home to more than 9,500 people. While Goodridge Corners is still in its early stages, there is already a lot to look forward to.
Built for the Future
One of the things that makes Goodridge Corners different is the standard being set for the homes.
Every home in the community will be required to meet Built Green Canada Platinum certification standards. That means homes will be designed to be significantly more energy efficient than a typical newly built home.
Homes will also be required to be solar-ready and EV-ready, along with features such as drain-water heat recovery systems and improved energy performance.
For homeowners, that can mean a more comfortable home, lower energy use and a house that is ready for the technology of the future.
More Than Just Houses
Goodridge Corners is being planned as a complete community, not simply a collection of new homes.
The neighbourhood plan includes a mix of detached homes, semi-detached homes, row housing and multi-family housing, along with parks, natural areas, greenways and a future town centre.
Its location is another major advantage. Residents will have convenient access to Anthony Henday Drive while being close to St. Albert, Sturgeon County and the rest of northwest Edmonton.
A Community Just Getting Started
There is something exciting about buying into a neighbourhood at the beginning. Goodridge Corners is still taking shape, but the long-term plan is already in place.
New homes, parks, walking routes and community amenities will gradually transform the area into a vibrant northwest Edmonton neighbourhood.
Goodridge Corners is being built with the future in mind — and there’s still an opportunity to be part of it from the start.
